Dr Jacob D. Gardner

I’m a paleontologist and evolutionary biologist at the University of Reading in the UK.
I grew up on California’s Central Coast and, for as long as I can remember, had a passion for paleontology.
I enjoy fossil-hunting, hiking, skateboarding, surfing, tennis, and watching nature docs and fantasy/sci-fi.

These last two months have been absolutely crazy. I finally defended and earned my Ph.D.! This was a lifelong dream of mine, and I'm incredibly stoked and proud of myself for achieving it. In the first grade, I declared
